Music is a creative form of expression that everyone knows, everyone feels, and that can touch us all. Music allows us to dance, to sing, to weep, to laugh, to dissolve into beautiful sounds — and ultimately to experience healing. The healing power of music is known all over the world. Through music, I found a world in which I could hide, understand, rejoice, and ultimately express myself creatively and profoundly.

From an early age, my path into music was shaped by my parents, who lovingly supported our musical talents. A small family orchestra, formal training, singing and playing in various choirs and orchestras across Austria accompanied me through more than half of my life. Today, I enjoy musical skills on the violin, with the voice, and to be easily adaptable to play other instruments if required.

In music, I find the same joy in a rich blend of cultural and musical influences as in my writing. The ability to open oneself through music builds bridges in every culture. I live my love of colour and diversity through my compositions. My musical works are created in different languages and set in various musical styles.

Very early on, I found myself able to appreciate almost every style of music (with only a few exceptions), never wanting to choose just one. The whole musical world is simply too fascinating to limit oneself…

So, today I am happy to take you on a colourful musical journey — into my world of emotions, challenges, devotion to God, and love for human beings, animals, plants, and life itself. It is a blend of many experiences and phases of my life, painting a musical picture of how I experience and perceive the world.

For a long time, I felt the need to be seen and heard, to stand on stage and present myself and my music. Yet more and more, I feel drawn toward composing — choral works, orchestral works. I find myself stepping back from the desire to stand in the spotlight, moving behind the curtain and diving deeply into the world of sound. There, I discover a quiet place for my nervous system and for my (hidden) soft and tender nature.

The combination of tones — this interplay of vibrations and frequencies — moves me to tears again and again. There are such beautiful works, such profound combinations of sound, that I simply cannot stop speaking and developing this language of music.
