Equipment

  • 1 juicer (alternatively you can use a blender and a fine sieve)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 watermelon
  • 1-2 cm ginger
  • 1 handful ice-cubes optional
  • 1 leave fresh basil or mint optional

Instructions

  • Hollow out the watermelon, remove the seeds from the flesh.
  • Cut a few chunks into small pieces. Place the pieces into the hollowed-out watermelon.
  • Place the rest of the flesh with the ginger into the juicer – use only 1 cm of ginger first. If you love it more intense, add one more cm. If you have no juicer at hand, blend the flesh until smooth and pour it through a sieve, collecting the juice in a bowl or pot.
  • Pour the juice into the watermelon bowl. Add the ice-cubes and the basil or mint leave, cut in slices (optional). Serve with drinking straws.
